Edition Ceylan Öztrük

(EN) In 2016 the government of Turkey accused thousands of academics over alleged terror propaganda and took them to court after signing a peace petition. The petition demanded that the government should end up the systematic violence against citizens in Southeastern Anatolia, the Kurdish provinces. Over 2000 academics, including Ceylan, signed the peace petition: We will not be a party to this crime. In this work Ceylan recalls a memory and recreates a moment of post-demonstration. The edition is made up of 15 unique pieces of prints on found and collected pullovers.
